Originally from a small town in Alaska, Will developed a love for nature and the outdoors at an early age. In 2001, while still in college, Will and two of his friends began organizing group camping and backpacking trips into some of the most beautiful areas of the Southwest. These quickly grew too large groups which required a great deal of planning and logistics to pull off.
Will studied at Utah State University and earned his degree in Psychology with a minor in chemistry, In addition, he studied engineering, and biology extensively. He put much of this knowledge to work during his 16 years working in the oil fields of Alaska in various trades and management and also as a petroleum firefighter. After graduating from Utah State University Will had the opportunity to return to the areas he loved exploring. He has called St. George, UT home for the last 12 years and has been exploring the west for more than 25 years.
Currently, Will owns Warner Adventure Tours which operates as Southern Utah Scenic Tours. With his excellent group of employees, they offer the best tour experience in the business.
Although his number of extended backpacking trips have declined in recent years, he still takes every opportunity to find new and exciting places to experience both with his guests and his wife Jaime and their 3 children. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping, canyoneering, climbing and is attempting to enjoy mountain biking once again (currently it involves a lot of crashing).
